BJP Won Delhi Assembly Election- The Bharatiya Janata Party, which was waiting for electoral victory in Delhi for nearly three decades, has finally got the power of the state. With this, the Aam Aadmi Party has been out of power after 11 years.

The last election BJP had won in Delhi was in 1993. In the last few elections too, BJP had contested elections in Delhi by putting PM Modi’s face forward, but victory eluded it.
Meanwhile, BJP changed its leadership several times at the state level, but BJP did not benefit from it.
This time too, BJP did not present any face for the Chief Minister, but the party came out in the public on the face of PM Modi and succeeded in winning.
BJP Won Delhi Assembly Election– Big Reasons Which Have Played Major Role in The Victory of BJP This Time.
BJP Won Delhi Assembly Election- Impact of The General Budget 2025:

On one hand, the campaign for the assembly elections was going on in Delhi, on the other hand, in the general budget 2025, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced tax exemption on annual income up to Rs 12 lakh.
Voting for the assembly elections was held in Delhi on 5 February and this announcement made just four days before is being considered to have a big impact on the middle class.
Experts say, “It seems that the narrative of a double engine government was in the minds of the people. Secondly, this budget move that was made in the last movement may have gone in favor of the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party suffered a huge loss.”
Earlier in mid-January, the central government had announced the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission. A large number of employees from the central to the state government live in Delhi and it is believed that this announcement gave a big electoral advantage to the BJP.
BJP Won Delhi Assembly Election– Anti government wave against Aam Aadmi Party
Aam Aadmi Party was in power in Delhi for the last 11 years. During this time, AAP government also made many announcements for the people of Delhi.
This includes free electricity and water, free bus travel for women, free pilgrimage for the elderly people etc.
Then what happened was that the people of Delhi did not like the Aam Aadmi Party this time.
Experts say, “With the help of Delhi’s resources, the Aam Aadmi Party government gave a lot of things for free, which the slum dwellers and the poor liked. But the middle class probably felt that during this time the development that should have happened in the infrastructure of a city like Delhi did not happen, which is very important for the country’s capital and the people living here.”

“Basically the infrastructure in Delhi is still the same as Sheila Dikshit left behind. Whether we talk about the work done for the Commonwealth Games in 2010, roads, flyovers or other works of Sheila government.”
It is believed that this time BJP has benefited from another thing and that is Aam Aadmi Party’s control over Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Experts believe that even after AAP’s control over MCD, the problems related to the corporation did not reduce. Even after being in power in both the state and MCD, many problems related to cleanliness, roads and water continued in the capital. For which people held Aam Aadmi Party responsible.
BJP Won Delhi Assembly Election– Corruption Charges on Arvind Kejriwal and AAP:
One of the major reasons behind the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party is also believed to be the allegation of its biggest leader being involved in the alleged liquor scam.

Experts say, “that the politics that Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal had started by promising that they will do clean politics, transparent politics, that politics has in a way come to an end today.”
“Experts believe that today is a very important day for our Indian democracy and politics. Because the hope that AAP had given has ended today. It is a very big thing that many top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party lost.”
Not only former Chief Minister Kejriwal, who was surrounded by allegations of scam, but Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain, who have been ministers in the Delhi government, also lost the elections.
Experts also say, “The allegations against AAP leaders may be wrong, but this tarnished their image among the people, and BJP was successful in taking this to the people.”
“Apart from this, Kejriwal’s official residence, which BJP & Congress calls ‘Sheeshmahal’, also made people think that these people have also started living a luxurious life and this tarnished Kejriwal’s image.”
The changes that Arvind Kejriwal made in his official residence during his tenure as Chief Minister were made a big election issue by BJP & Congress and from PM Modi to Amit Shah, everyone raised this issue during the election campaign.
BJP Won Delhi Assembly Election- Ticket Distribution And The Role of Congress:
BJP had won the last election in Delhi in the year 1993. After that, it was a big challenge for it to unite the party leaders and workers of the state and keep the party organized at the ground level.
Experts say, “In every assembly election, BJP goes to the people by talking about a double engine government. This is another example of the kind of micro management BJP does.”
BJP also skillfully used the leaders who came from other parties. It gave assembly tickets to many such leaders and they also won.
In this connection, the name of Tarvinder Singh Marwah, who has been a Congress leader and has gone from Congress to BJP, is important. BJP gave him a ticket and Marwah defeated former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from Jangpura seat.
Similarly, former Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely has won from Gandhi Nagar and Rajkumar Chauhan has won from Mangolpuri.
Many experts are also of the opinion that even though Congress did not win a single seat in the election, it cut the votes of Aam Aadmi Party, which helped BJP.
In this election, Congress party got about 7 percent votes whereas in the 2020 election it did not even get five percent votes.
Talking about the current election result, according to the data so far, there is a difference of only two percent votes between AAP and BJP.
Experts say, “the aim of Congress was to revive itself, but the way it fielded other faces including Sandeep Dixit, it seemed that it had come to do revenge politics. In a way, it was trying to increase its vote percentage.”
If seen in this way, Congress’s performance also seems to have played a little role in BJP’s victory.
National Conference leader and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also tweeted and indicated that BJP got the benefit of the fight between AAP and Congress.
