AI summit- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to France from Monday at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. He will co-chair the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit with Macron on February 11.
After the AI Summit, PM Modi and President Macron will address the India-France CEO Forum. There will also be delegation-level talks between PM Modi and President Macron.

More than two years after the launch of ChatGPT, generative AI is progressing very fast. During the AI summit in Britain last year, 28 countries made a non-binding commitment to deal with AI risks. AI security is also on the agenda at the Paris AI summit.
According to Macron’s office, work is being done with the aim of signing a joint political declaration for more ethical, democratic and environmentally sustainable AI. However, it is not clear whether the US will agree to such a measure in this AI summit.
Exercise to Raise Funds Of $ 2.6 Billion
Another major goal of the summit is the public interest partnership agreement for AI. Macron’s office said the Paris government wants to raise $2.6 billion for a public-private partnership involving businesses and philanthropic groups. Through this, trusted AI actors will be given open source access to databases, software and other tools.
Macron’s team wants to take AI out of the race to develop artificial intelligence better than humans through computing and give it access to such data, which can help in solving problems like cancer and Covid.
PM Modi Will Pay Tribute To The Indian Soldiers
There will also be delegation level talks between PM Modi and President Macron. On February 12, both the leaders will pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the First World War. Both the leaders will jointly inaugurate the Consulate General of India in Marseille. From France, PM Modi will go to America.

According to AP, world leaders will brainstorm on the challenges and dangers of AI.
The aim of this summit is to find out how to use the potential of AI so that the myriad risks of technology can be resolved and everyone can benefit.
New Confrontation Between China And The US On AI
At the 2023 summit in Britain, 28 countries adopted a non-binding resolution to tackle AI risks. The conference comes at a time when China’s low-cost AI tool DeepSeek has fuelled geopolitical confrontation between Beijing and Washington over technological supremacy.
